Men’s Breakfast
On October 2,1620, Thomas Goodwin went with a group of friends to have a good time when they decided to stop and attend a funeral (!). God used the preacher’s sermon to expose Goodwin’s sinful heart and a few hours later he embraced Christ with a new heart. The Heart of Christ was Goodwin’s most popular work. It is no wonder that a man who struggled with assurance for so long would be so effective in communicating where all assurance is ultimately found, in Christ. Men of Bethel, come and join others as we plunge into the depths of one of Puritanism’s greatest preachers and writers.
Held at Bethel during Fall, Winter, and Spring starting at 7:30am every other Saturday. All men are welcome. Check the calendar for dates and then contact one of our pastors to purchase a copy of the current book.
